Hey, red Mirage guy here, I'm still around! I actually goofed on that post. The tires there are 185/60-15. Sorry for the confusion!

Washed the car yesterday and the lighting was neat, so took my camera and snapped a few shots. This is one of the best ones. I think the Imola wheels looks great in this car. I'm using 185/65-15...
They're known for being very light, around 12 lbs. if I recall correctly. They're sought after because of that, in part. Also, being BMW rims, they're very strong.
Found them on Craigslist... Cool guy with a vintage car dealership who also does work on European cars wanted to empty his small warehouse. The tires are a bit big (185/60) but the wheel offset is...
At the top is how my wheels look right now. I shopped them to black at the bottom. Which one you think looks better?

And please excuse the crappy 'shop...

Just got another one... I was already a bit late for work. :) I really like how they fill the wheelwells and are almost flush with the fenders.

Found an amazing deal at Facebook Marketplace: a set of older MB 14"x 6" 5-spoke wheels with basically new 185/60-14 tires for $125! So I got them and installed yesterday. They feel and handle so...
I had sold my old green Mirage a while ago so that I could have only one bank payment, but now things have gotten better and I was on the market for a new car... Since I've always been smitten by the...
Cosmetics. It looks slightly less tippy-toed. Although, maybe it's a placebo effect, but I feel the rear end slightly more planted.
So here's the list:
Passenger-side CV joint is clicking under stress.
Recall for airbag sensor
Driver-side washer is clogged
It'll be weird to be without my little green frog for a few...
I'm resurrecting this post by showing the results of putting 1/4" spacers only on the back, bringing both tracks to almost the same width:

Congrats, that's my favorite Outlander color, it's fantastic!
Thanks guys! This is the Amazon link to the trim rings I got. They're really nice because they are curved instead of having a flat face edge.

Damn, that looks nice.
We were talking about the Mirage, since I had it there for scheduled service. I was telling him how happy I am with the car, and we continued on talking about its virtues, etc. Some nice tidbits:

Click here to access! This by no means replaces this forum, but I rather intend it to join more Mirage enthusiasts and also promote this forum.
Has anyone here removed the seat covers? Is it easy? I've thought about sneaking a precision-cut piece of foam to add a bit of lumbar support to the seats (which are surprisingly comfortable, but at...
Jalops excited because the new Smart will be a small city car that will come with a manual transmission? Well, whaddaya know, there's a car that fits that mold.
I gotta say that my mileage wasn't too impressive, although we're talking of a car loaded to the brim with stuff, plus me, wife, and my two kids (a teenager and a young girl), plus I was driving...
Welcome, Joe! I keep seeing more and more Mirages around here in good ol' SA!
I made that out of spare decal material. Planned to put a black racing stripe around the door sill area, but I botched it up. The strip material I didn't mess up I used to create trim decals somewhat...
Competed the look tonight! With chromed lugnuts and center caps. This was a cheap mod too:
Stainless steel chromed trim rings: $ 43
Chromed lug nuts (16) 24
Center...
Thanks guys! Here's a pic I took today after washing it. :)
