I think you missed OPs problem -- it was snow and ice build up in the wheels.

You could also drive on highways with lower speed limits. I would never drive at 85 mph with anything on a roof rack because of the huge force that is trying to rip it off the roof.

Your graph matches the graph in the Speed vs. MPG thread except for the points at 110 km/hr and 120 km/hr where your fuel consumption was a lot higher.
