    Maybe to avoid bumping it by mistake? A family member when using my car accidentally turned on my seat heater and couldn't find the switch - drove 60 miles in the summer on the hot seat!

    It isn't like a usual traction control/abs button.
    Press and hold it for around 5 seconds, a light that is yellow/orange comes on to show it is turned off

    Our front plates are screwed to the plastic bumper with these screws:

    They are 3/4 inch long, and the threads are 1/4 inch wide. Not secure at all, but I hope this helps you figure things...
