This morning I found evidence that the Mitsubishi Mirage has actually made it to the Jacob Javits Center in NYC

And I also noticed that Mitsubishi Motors USA has a special sense of humour

(Both illustrations are from Mitsu's Facebook page)

Thanks for that info. The "name a colour" contest is interesting.
It's funny that the website and video show a 15-inch (or even 16-inch?) wheel on the car, while 14 is the largest size to be offered on the car in the U.S., according to the press release specs.
No update to the Canadian site yet. I figured now that the model name issue is sorted out on this side of the pond, they would post something. Nope! Silence. Crickets...

Don't be sad Metro, I'm sure your day will come! It gives you the chance to save up a little longer for that shiny Mirage. Did you already pick a colour?

I wonder what Mitsu didn't do to our US version that brings the cd up to .28 vs the UK's .27? Hopefully once we get some more pictures we might be able to tell.
-
That's easy to explain: for the US version they removed the ugly reversing camera from the back of the car! ;)
-
So do we know exactly when the car will be here, or is it still just "fall" at this point?
-
All we know right now is "fall".

Tim: this is only a guess, but I think only the 1.0L car has the 0.27 drag coefficient. It would have the smallest grille opening for one thing, and all the 1.0's have the smooth plastic wheel covers. (Though the base U.S. car also gets steelies and an unspecified plastic wheel cover).

More proof the car was actually unveiled in the U.S. this week :)
