Exide battery - have they improved lately?
I've always had Johnson Controls batteries - very good luck with them. I grabbed a Walmart one today (for my truck, actually) and after I got it home saw the manufacturer code was EP (Exide), the old battery was JC.
Should I take it back? Has Exide improved recently? Thanks.
oops....it's not Exide after all

My mistake, but I did mean Exide. They used to make some Everstart batteries, as did Johnson Controls. Exide stopped supplying Walmart Everstart about five years ago, from what I've read.
The one I just bought is coded EP, which I found out means East Penn (Deka). I usually buy Johnson Controls batteries (they make lots of different brands). Code on those Everstart batteries is JC.
But I've read the East Penn batteries are good, they also make the current NAPA batteries.
Thanks.
