2015 Mitsubishi Mirage ES (Garage entry) (2016-07-16 00:31:13)
Hello and welcome to the forum! Thanks for making a garage entry. Be sure to put up some pictures. I would like to browse links to the modifications you have made. Do you have any other modifications in mind?
Also don't forget making fuel log entries. How's your fuel economy been?
I don't have any links to the few things that I have done. The headlight bulbs were GE nighthawk platinums and the foglight bulbs were Nokya hyper yellow. The rest of the LEDs were eBay specials. The horn I'm in the process of installing is the Fiamm El Grande. Led light bar is again an eBay special, 20" 126 watt. Wheels are Konig Dial In in gloss gold with Hankook tires.
What happened to your stock Enasaves - did you sell them?

Another shot of the custom switches, one for the aftermarket horn and the other for the led light bar.

Some shots of the light bar mounted to the front of the Mirage. I bought a license plate bull bar, which allowed me to mount the light bar easily. The price ranges from $15-$60, on eBay and Amazon. The light bar is a generic bar, cost around $30. Wired it properly with a relay and inline fuse. Bull bar was mounted properly as well, I removed the front bumper and drilled six holes to mount it. Secured with washers, locking nuts and some lock tight to make sure it didn't go anywhere. I'll try and get some night shots is the switches and light bar soon.

Those wheels look nice. Are they 15"?
They look good man. I've been looking at stance wheels but i don't think they make htem small enough. I really like these but Konig doesn't make anything like them: http://www.stancewheels.com/wheels/s...brushed-bronze
I really like your car man. I like the black on gold you got going. I went with a silver Mirage and I'm trying to figure out which rims will look best on it. I see your aftermarket wheels and tires are quite a bit bigger than your stock ones. Have you noticed much of a difference if at all with having bigger rims?
Well the only negative I've experienced is the tires rub on bumpy roads and when I have passengers in the back. MPGs haven't been affected that much, the wheels hurt it a bit but so did the light bar and front license plate. If anything I would change the tires, or even go with a less wide wheel to minimize the rubbing. The Konig heliums were my second choice.
Damn guy sweet mods
Rad! I like the LED Lightbar. Cool mod to bring to a compact car, vs every Jeep and truck out there. Gold on black is sex! Liking the car!
where did you get the shifter and how hard is it to put in?
I bought the shifter on clearance at Walmart. Cost $3. It was easy to install. The factory shifter simply unscrews. The skull one had plastic adapters that slip over, and is held in place by set screws. Overall not a good design. After a few months, it needed to be tightened. A few weeks later, the same thing. I got tired of it and reinstalled the factory one.
Any rubbing issues with the +35 offset? There are a few Konig wheels I like, but I'm afraid the +35 offset will rub when lowered.
No rubbing issues unless I have passengers in the back and go over a bumpy road. With me just driving, there's no rubbing at all. My brother also has a Mirage, but with konig heliums. He doesn't experiences any rubbing at all even with passengers in the back.
Thanks for the side-by-side comparo and info. Good stuff.
Where did you get the custom switches from?
