I found some Firestones with a long mileage rating for a very good CDN$ price.

So for <$50/tire I get a name brand with a good km rating.
What's the catch do you think?

They don't appear to be Low Rolling Resistance (if that's important to you).
I'm not a huge fan of Consumer Reports, but some of the reviews there aren't very positive.

That was a good read. I'd guess Cruzes have alignment issues from the factory just like early Mirages. Also seems the tires are not so good on heavier vehicles. Mileage and performance seem OK on lighter cars.
So I think for $40 CDN I can certainly give them a try. I'll have my Firestone Champions for mileage if these tires are abysmal. I'm going to give them a shot, run them at max pressure and see how they perform on my new 12.5lb alloy wheels. Oh, ya, I need to look up the weight of these tires.
Nice find! Took me a while to figure out how to enter the postal code properly on that site.
