I just love it when Gov'ts get together and and collectively rape us..
Gas is $1.35/L ($5.40/US gal) here already. Prices jumped $0.16/L in two days.
Probably looking at $1.50/L by Christmas.
I'd say something about people driving those 6-wheeled gas (or diesel) hogs get what they deserve for being so short sighted, but > 100 per barrel will not only drive up pump prices, but kill the entire boom we've been seeing for so many years, tax cuts or no. All that money earned in the stock market - goodbye for now.
Been slowly creeping up around here to.
@Fummins, sorry if I offended you. I've gotten the 'rolling coal' treatment while riding my bike and didn't appreciate it, but that's no reason to condemn all duelly drivers.
I was kidding, I don't have feelings! I hate kids/slow adults who do stupid stuff like rolling coal. I've had it done to me as well. I'll admit I've done it once or 100 times or so if I get bumper humpers that won't back off, but I'm sure there's a few others who might have done the same thing if given the chance? But it's too expensive to be a dink like that nowadays and I've outgrown most of my road rage a while ago.
Source: Oil’s rout is over, hail the return of $100 crudeQuote:
U.S. gasoline and diesel are both the most expensive they have been at this time of year since 2014 and, in contrast to the normal seasonal pattern, pump prices are already rising. The same is true in Europe.
It seems the US (and global) crude oil glut is diminishing, and that helps explain the rise in prices. Compare July 2016...

However, US oil production is also at all-time highs, so where this will go is still anyone's guess. I wouldn't be willing to bet on it.
just in time for the next world recession...
