I didnt really negotiated the price but i negotiated to get unlimited free car washes. I only got one free wash.
I got the car for less than $17K, ($16890 i think) list price , fully loaded
I am buying the DE, manual trans, upgraded alloy wheels (free promotion on Mirages built in August)
$12995 MSRP
$795 destination charge
-$500 October purchase rebate from Mitsubishi
-$250 Owner Loyalty rebate from Mitsubishi (we also own a '98 saturn)
-$500 Dealer discount
= $12,540
I opted for a rust protection package (The Protector) for $630 that includes paint, corrosion (rust), interior and undercoating protection. I live in Wisconsin, USA, where a lot of salt is put on the roads in winter. I don't know if this will be worth the cost or not, but I am hoping that this car will last more than 20 years, so I am giving it a try.
I paid €11.950 for the manual 1.0L. Car specs u can see on my other post or on garage. This incl. not standard cruise control. Without cruise control would be €11.400.
I paid $13,000 Aust dollars for the 5 speed manual -basic model.
It's included $200 for window tinting and $300 for protective
Clear gloss over the pink paint. They added $600 for the pink matalic paint.
So I was happy with this price with 5 year warranty and the first service free.
paid full! ok but you swapped your old car.
yeap, 3 weeks old car but dun like it so swapped it with the Mirage
Thanks, everyone, for updating this thread so far.
No worries hope this thread can help ppl getting an idea of how much this little nice thing cost

Wow, really?! Congrats!? (Or are you just sharing pricing you've seen?)
brought to you by autotrade.com
Aha - thanks. $12k for the base car with CVT seems a great deal.
EDIT: added a link to your post.
The ad says its an automatic, but the pictures show a manual. That would be a screaming deal for a CVT.
good eye. I figure msrp out the door is about what a cash buyer could expect.
Good eye, 15window. Honest mistake or sneaky bait & switch tactic? Hmm...
$11,998 (plus delivery & prep), includes 4 additional winter tires.
Where: Rallye Mitsubishi http://www.rallye-mitsubishi.ca/ in Gatineau, Quebec, Canada (just across the river from Ottawa, where I tested the two Mirages last weekend):
Found in this YouTube vid (in French): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i6elPRsm4Ek
The weasel words in this ad are "transport et preparation en sus" = "delivery & preparation extra". We know the official delivery fee in Canada, but not what this dealer's prep fee is. Might just be a way to advertise at 11998, then get it back to 12498 (MSRP) when you try to make a deal.
you speak French also?
Enough to get myself in trouble. :)
Mitsu Australia has just started the $1000 cash back on current stock mirage from 1st Nov-31st Dec. So we can now buy an es manual in white for $11990 drive away.
My wife liked the Mirage enough to get herself one (actually, she bought me a blue one and took my silver one). Here's how it went:
$12995 MSRP
+$795 destination charge
-$750 November purchase rebate from Mitsubishi
-$250 Owner Loyalty rebate from Mitsubishi (we also own a 1998 saturn, and a 2014 Mirage)
= $12,790
We also bought the "wrap" warranty to add 5 years/40,000 miles to the bumper to bumper warranty (totaling 10 years/100,00 miles) for $1186.
Thanks for the updates, guys.
That seems like a pretty good price. I'm looking forward to a few pictures!
The ones we have listed around the Milwaukee area are ridiculously expensive. The cheapest one is just under $16k.
Seems like most Mirages around here are coming from the factory with options already installed (bluetooth, interior LED lights, chrome garnishes...)
We got this one from Porcaro Mitsubishi in Racine, WI. They found a car that matched what we were looking for (bare bones DE) and traded with a dealer in Illinois for it. Real nice folks there at Porcaro. We were treated with respect and patience, and they took the time to answer thoroughly every question we had. I would definitely buy from them again.

Paid $16,000 nz. The car was one of the dealerships courtesy cars. Six months old 7500km. $ 3640 discount off drive away new price. Plus comes with balance of new car warranty
This may be a useful tidbit for US members...
From... US: What car models fly off dealer lots? Mirage ranks well in "days on lot" measureQuote:
in Nov...
- $15,430 was the average Mirage transaction price (vs. $32,852 average, for all vehicles)
- 5.20% was the average Mirage discount off MSRP (vs. 10.54% for all vehicles)
I was right around $13,900 100% financing including 6% tax, title, plate transfer. Base model manual transmission with hands free upgrade.
^ nice price, I wonder if they would have made that deal without the financing?
Probably, I had that pricing with 0 down financing through my bank approved; then out of nowhere a bank affiliated with the dealer stepped in and offered .25% lower interest and the doubled bumper to bumper warranty for just a few more dollars a month.
I got pretty lucky on my financing, wasn't sure if I'd be able to go 0 down and roll the taxes, title, and plates into it; I think the $1,000 factory rebate had a play in this.
There's a $1,000 rebate . Should be able to get additional dealer discount of $250 on up .
I bought the base model/stick with bluetooth a few weeks ago for around $13,700. That included Indiana's 7% sales tax, destination charges, factory rebates, and misc. paper handling fees. I put $5000 of the purchase on my 2% cash back Amex card, so deduct another $100 from the price.
For negotiating, I went to truecars.com and got a price from a dealership about 100 miles away. The local dealership matched the price but wasn't able to find one in the color I wanted that also didn't have any extras so they ended up throwing in the bluetooth. Maybe one day I'll actually use it.
Thanks -- and welcome to the forum, Yttrium.
No one has yet came to me with truecar yet thankfully lol
I am picking up my mirage on monday. Its a starlight silver de that I was able to pickup for 9997 usd before taxes.
Apparently it was a lure car they bring you in with the price then talk you into the higher priced one. It has all the same options as all the 13790 ones just priced lower. I do wish it had cruise control though.
Got mine for USD 12900,- out of the door in the most Basic DE trim with manual transmission. I like my Mirage.
Got my white manual DE with bluetooth for $13,300 out the door. I don't know how some of you are getting them so low, but I felt this was a good deal.
