What? Less than a mb??? 15min is quick. My tool took 45 mins to extract outlander sport/asx/rvr file,...
Ya, it's crazy how small it is. The manual Rom is only 512kb. All your Lancers, Evolutions, Eclipses and previous models are the same. The small file size keeps the resolution up.
Quick Factoid: In the Mustang tuning world they swap manual ECUs out for automatic units and then reflash them so they have more space to add features to the manual tune. :)
this is excellent news!
Man I've been waiting for someone to fiddle with this. Thanks redline :encouragement: Glad to see you popped in here from Club3g
Thanks RedRage. :)
I see your not too far away from me and rocking the 5speed. Good stuff bro. :)
Thanks for doing this. Gives me hope for a future turbo.
I wouldn't be surprised if you could pull it with Mazdaedit. A lost of current gen mazdas are running Mitsubishi ecus (mine included, and ECU tuned) The rest are using Denso. That includes boost tuning for NA engines using the OEM NA mistu ecu. There is is much space for a turbo on this chassis (front/mid/rear), all that's needed is ECU tuning.
I'd try and test out MazdaEdit but it's $225 per Vin# and the professional edition doesn't have a listing price. If it worked that wouldn't be too bad for a one vehicle application but would need someone to give it a try. Just got to be careful because I did brick/lockout my ECU on my first ECU comunication attempt.
