Looks awesome and welcome aboard!
Could I see better pics of the rear diffuser please?
Those Enkei were my 1st choice due to weight. But i was concerned about clearance. You have any rubbing issues with those?
Ya, I totally regret not pulling the trigger on your very set of wheels. They look amazing. When I did my research they were THE lightest 15" I could find. Dont get me wrong, im very happy with my Heliums. But damn, those RPF1's are so sexual!
Welcome to the site. Great looking Mirage you have there. :encouragement:
Nice lookin' Mirage!
What are your thoughts about the springs?
Here are the pictures of the rear diffuser. I am planning to build a flat tray just after the rear axle to the rear diffuser to maximize the effectiveness of the diffuser.

Thats the diffuser. It is very robust. I reversed onto a curb, and those plastic fins stopped the car completely without breaking. I had to make a hole for the exhaust and added a fire retardant aluminum with foam insulation then sticked it onto the right side of the diffuser and wrapped the exhaust pipe with an exhaust wrap to prevent the abs plastic from melting. I made a hole at the middle part of the diffuser so that the towing mount is out/accessible. I placed a small metal rod through The towing mount to keep the diffuser in place. Two holes were made near the edge of the bumper from the corners of the diffuser. Two retainer clips Also holds it in place. Theres a box underneath the mirage (I dont know what it is/called) and theres two screws that can be seen if u look underneath the car. I replaced it with a bigger screws and that also holds the diffuser in place. I will rake pictures when I get a chance.
There is enough clearance to fit the 205s tires. I would say theres half an inch clearance from the lip of the rim and the shock absorber’s metal housing. Theres no rubbing at all even when the suspension is bottoming out. Im regretting not going for the bigger rims. I couldve went for 16” or 17”s. But regardless, it improved the acceleration, and steering response/handling considering each wheel and tire is about 3 lbs lighter than the stock steel wheels and enasave tires. Upsizing to 16” or 17” wheels is going to make your car slightly slower, since the new wheels will be much heavier than stock. Note that my new set has around 2% less circumference than the stock 14” tires. More torque gets put onto the asphalt, meaning faster acceleration. Handling has improved drastically, these 195s never oversteer on wet roads.
That's a fantastic looking Mirage. Nicely done.
Agreed - nice work.

I found a winter tire set for $25 for all on kijiji, with a considerable rust on it and 3 seasons left from the tread but its hard to turn down an offer.
My setup now is 185/65/14 with 3 mm hub centric wheel spacer at the front.

Front have the stock speakers and rear have the JBL installed. On a Mitsubishi Mirage Hatchback 2018. The Head unit is stock. It is louder, much clearer, and the bass has more punch. The stock speakers on the rear was fabricated to fit the JBL.
Godspeed and Speed Daddy are not mentioned here: https://mirageforum.com/forum/showth...ull=1#post4511
Would you mind supplying info to Doax or whomever could update it?
This car can take up to 30cm wheel spacer at the rear. The front can definitely take more. I rolled the fenders at the rear since it is rubbing too much with load/passengers at the rear which may potentially damage the sidewall of the tire. I have the stock 165/65R14 with the 25cm spacers on all four hubs. Only the rear requires fender rolling.
I got the spacers from this seller:
https://ebay.ca/usr/wsa-auto
The quality is excellent and theres no vibrations so far. Handling has improved drastically compared to the stock width track
These looks great! It has the leather feel to it and highlights of red. It changes the look of the interior and gives it more appeal! Perfect fitment too. It just needs some time so that all the wrinkles evens out. The photo is after the installation, and the wrinkles doesnt look to good haha.
What fender roller tool are you using there? It looks sort of like the Eastwood Fender Roller Tool.
These are hub centric 56.1mm wheel spacers, so the vehicle’s weight is also supported by the hub so I do believe that it wouldn’t contribute to a lug failure. The lug nuts must be properly torqued. As for the decreased in bearing lifespan, that may be true but it is also similar to putting a lower offset wheel in comparison with the wheel spacers. My Daox anti roll bar has snapped in half and has been removed. with these wheel spacers, it felt like the rear Sway bar is still in place, without the sacrifice in comfort. Handling has improved noticeably. There are advantages and disadvantages for using them for sure.
Went today to the Mitsubishi dealer from where I bought the car for the first time to pick up my dad since his RVR is in service. I received “wow” reactions but also turning heads from the sales which turned to a photoshoot session Lol
I hope you're getting royalties from the Mirage ad campaign they're gonna run with your car in it. :D
Swapped my god speed coilovers to the speed daddy for softer ride during winter since I wont be taking hard corners during the cold season. The speed daddy springs made the car lowered than stock. It bottoms out on really big potholes like 3inches+. The godspeed bottoms out too but with less impact blow to it since it has a bigger bumpstops than the stock struts. The bottoming out seems less frequent than the coilovers due to longer stroke. Two things that im trying to accomplish with the swap, 1. Lower ride than the stock, but higher than the coilovers to not get stuck on winter 2. Comfortable ride than the coilovers. Also protect/store the coilovers from harsh winter conditions
Installed tvs on the headrest
My setup requires
-Digital HD Tv tuner
-HDTV antenna
-12V cigarette plug Splitter
*Signal can be inconsistent especially when moving. Signal gets picked up bed at open areas like highways or when the vehicle is stationary. But it still picks up signal when moving.
I found a dude on Kijiji that's renting it out for cheap, $25 a day with $120 refundable deposit. Thanks for the compliment. Contrast does really stand out with white the white paint and dark accents.
I got the rear sill from Philippines when I went for a vacation. Thailand/the Philippines have tons of aftermarket parts for the mirage that cant be found on ebay.

Original parts can be found here.
The speed daddy springs has settled in. It is crap and nobody should get them. The shocks keeps bottoming out and the springs is too soft. On medium to big bumps, it hits the bump stops and sounds like theres an explosion. Its too harsh. Im switching to eibach and see how it goes.
I changed the CVT fluid at 48,000km without the filter change (drain and refill method). At 90,000km, I have changed the fluid again, installed a new auxiliary filter, cleaned the magnets and the internal filter. I bought a auxiliary O ring just in case if the cartridge o ring gets damaged on removal/installation, which didn’t happen. I used the Amsoil CVT fluid which works for this CVT. Theres quite a lot of fluid left in the pan, and the remaining fluid is thick. Its more effective to take out the fluid by removing the pan than the drain plug by itself. Every after the fluid change, the cvt shifting is more smoother and the jerkiness is gone.
