A milestone announcement from Mitsubishi Thailand: 200,000 Mirages have rolled off the line since production started in March, 2012 to January 2014.

Mitsubishi Motors achieved 200,000 Mirage productions in 2 years

Patumthani: 19 February 2014 – Mitsubishi Motors Thailand announced achievement of 200,000 Mirage productions in 2 years and exported to 66 countries worldwide.

Mr. Masahiko Ueki, the president of Mitsubishi Motors Thailand Company Limited reveals the good response of Mitsubishi Mirage from global market since its launched in March 2012 to January 16, 2014 that Mitsubishi Mirage has been produced 200,000 units which were 77,691 units for domestic market, representing 39% and 122,309 units for export to 66 countries worldwide, representing 61%. This outstanding volume represents good responses from global market to Mirage and it also shows production capability of Mitsubishi Motors Thailand which accomplishes eco car requirement of Thailand Board of Investment (BOI). The program requires minimum production 100,000 units from automotive manufacturing within 5 years after it starts production line. However, Mitsubishi Mirage meets the eco car requirement of BOI in 2013 which has total production 115,865 units; this is only in the second year of production.

“Mitsubishi Mirage received good responses from both domestic and export markets, the majority of customers are satisfied with fuel efficiency, maneuverability and utilities. Moreover, Mitsubishi Mirage received awards from worldwide institution. In Thailand, Mirage received many awards which guarantees the success of Mirage such as TAQA award in the Outstanding Initial Quality Satisfaction for Eco Car (IQS), Car of the Year 2013 award in the best hatchback under 1,200 cc.

Wonder what the recall percent is, most cars have a minor number of recalls.

I bet the rate of production is probably going up. I wonder if they've finished rolling out the car in all the countries they planned.

When I first got my mirage, I only use to see one or two others. Now I constantly see them. Most common colour is mulberry though.

They are very common here in Thailand, for obvious reasons. It's early days yet but i don't see that many Attrages, which is strange because Asians seem to prefer sedans.
