Just adding to what you already shared & tested. If you have a key ignition, the batteries are only for the remote entry. If the battery dies, you would have to unlock your car manually. The remote battery has nothing to do with starting the car.

When I made a third key for my Mirage, I had to program the chip inside the key using the directions in the owner's manual. This type of key does not have a battery.

I suspect a car battery issue, too. Terminals can look OK, but aren't. Could be something as simple as not having a good ground connection.

I was gonna post a video showing that but there's no reason. I did record loosening off both terminals at the battery hoping to reenact the problem that I had but go figure, I could not get the car to not start! Both cables finger-tight and had a nice amount of blue corrosion on both. There was enough clean contact area to make a good connection....That's still my guess. Hopefully, we hear back with the outcome.
Could be ground too run new ground cables on a truck a few weeks ago. To verify a bad ground I hook up decent gauge(not speaker wire or similar junk) booster cables from the -negative terminal at the battery to the body and/or engine. Then give it a try.

The problem seems to be solved!
I checked the connection of the positive terminal, and it did seem to be a bit loose.
So, I tightened it up, and so far I've had no problems. Somehow the whole electrical system seems to have become more stable. I will be more critical with the battery terminal connections from now on.
Thank you very much to everyone who answered so quickly!

Thanks CHILL for the update. It's always good to hear the solution, and hopefully this won't come back.

I'll update the original post with the fix.

Also, was there any corrosion on the battery terminals? Were you able to clean the terminals? When you are able, take off both battery connections and closely inspect for corrosion and stuff. If you don't have proper corrosion inhibitor, use petroleum jelly.
