Indeed they are installed with double sided tape. And your not allowed to ever wash your car again!

OK, just kidding? Only for 24hours they should not come into contact with water! Pity!

Two plastic clips that go beneath the seals give some additional support and safety.

My dealer told me I was their first cutomer to order these (he said they sold 55 Spacestars so far).

They look like a very nice addition to the car, I hope they are as usefull as I expect them to be!

Do the plastic clips go between the window and rubber mold?

No they go between the steel of the door and the rubber mold!

As you can see in the picture the rubber is removed, then the clip is mounted and then the rubber is reinstalled!

I bought them the same week buying my car. Double sided tape and clips to secure them to the windows. I found them to be very well made. They are very sturdy and look great. Highly recommened cheap mod.

The quality on these is excellent...much better than aftermarket. Worth the additional cost.

As others have said, there are clips that attach to the steel door frame. They go under the rubber window seal. Then they are sealed watertight with 3M tape.

The instructions for putting these on are very convoluted and unnecessarily complicated. Really, all you need to do is measure @1mm from the rear edge of the front door to locate the ventshade horizontally, and let the clips locate it vertically.

Measure @1mm from the front edge of the rear door for the rears, and, again, let the clips do their job. The instructions tell you to measure here, measure there, mark everything out with tape, etc, etc. Completely unnecessary.

Really, if you ignore most of the instructions they are easy to put on!

I agree with you on the quality 100%! Got these about a year after the purchase of my car and the difference is night vs. day. Gotta say, though, I COMPLETELY ignored the instructions! lol Got the dealership to put them on while I was getting regular service done and they installed them free of charge! hehe
