Great work Johnny! Is rust like that normal in those parts?

    Drove home great, seems A-OK.
Looks like I have some cleaning up to do in that pic. That's on the drivers Side? Good ole Ohio winters and salt.

    Nice find!

We get loads of salt here in the European rust belt too.

fantastic, drove 60 miles round trip 5 days to work, got my endlinks that were broken replaced this morning, thanks for asking !!
First endlink was a piece of cake, second one broke off above and below the swaybar so I was left with a fused in place piece of bolt in the swaybar. After much head scratching, I was able to use a shorty sledge and a pickle fork to wedge under the sway bay so it wouldn't bounce and drove the bolt out with a punch (after a little propane action). It's always an adventure in the rust belt.

BTW, Johnny says my clutch still feels like new, been using the RedLine fluid, closing in on 150,000 miles.

    (Just an FYI for anyone)

    To Johnny Mullet -

Drove 60 miles round trip 5 days to work, got my endlinks that were broken replaced this morning, LOL, I thought you sprayed some kind of funky air freshener in my car, then I found an apple in the hatchback in a forgotten lunch bag, yuk, I am really sorry about that, how embarrassing.

    To Foama-

    I need to do that.
You cover that alternator up before hosing the engine compartment down, right?
I noticed my valve cover bolts deteriorating after just a couple years, we get really hammered with salt and rain around here.

That engine of yours looks totally awesome. You use any protector after cleaning ?

It's good to hear a success story. If my Blueberry every breaks down, I hope it decides to do it in Ashtabula, Ohio...
