    Exhaust hangers, aftermarket replacement

    In total our cars have three hangers. They wear out in time. Holes get elongated and out of shape. Their initial snug fit loosens and consequently noise level rises. They can be either all one sort or a mix of two usually interchangable types:

    Mitsu part 1577A390 = standard hanger Supposedly on all MT, also the foremost on North American CVT, except 2023(?) model and later)

    Mitsu part 1577A566 = weighted hanger Mid and rear on earlier North American CVT model)
    Weighted hangers wore out quicker and were eventually replaced by either the standard variety (edit) or something different on the front mount of the 2023(?) and later CVT model.

    For cross reference, the "standard" hanger is also found on these cars:
    Mitsubishi Lancer, 10/2002 -> 2017/12
    Mitsubishi Carisma, 1996 -> 2000/09
    Volvo S401, 1995/07 -> 2004/06
    Volvo V40 1995/07 -> 2004/06

    Sorry foama, this is wrong. At least for the North American models.

    Over here they used weighted hangers in the 2 rear most parts of the exhaust for most years. They changed to non weighted at one point. I can't remember if our 2019's are weighted or not. The 2023's are not. The front mount is not weighted and does not fit interchange with the two rear hangers. I tried...They're different.

    Those 2 part numbers you posted are for the front hanger 1577A390, not manual transmission.
    The "Cvt" hanger 1577A566 is for the rear two that wear out. Mainly on the 2017 and newer models.

    I have my fingers crossed hoping that whatever caused the horrific rattling noise was tied entirely to my worn out front brakes.

    Since doing the brakes last week the car has been dead silent from the front end.

    When was it rattling? The exhaust hanger usually causes a vibration under light throttle when driving iirc.
