2nd Ultra Racing group buy. Post here if you're interested.

The first group buy went off without a hitch, so we're looking at doing another since there has been a bit of interest. So, who is interested?

I'm also talking with nextgentuning about clarifying/opening up the rules to allow the discount on all parts based just off of quantity of parts ordered. Thus, if we buy 6 UR parts we get the $15 off. It wouldn't need to be 6 sway bars to get $15 off the sway bar. BUT, this isn't final. I just shot them the email a few minutes ago.

    *** update ***

It has been confirmed by nextgentuning. The quantities below are all that matters. 6 pieces sold means we get the $15 off each piece.

For those who don't know, Ultra Racing makes suspension components for the Mirage. Their product line up can be seen here:

I'm not sure any US distributors have H&R springs yet. Some guys have looked into ordering them from Germany. Check it out here:

Can anyone suggest another set of springs to stiffen up the rear end?

Sorry I should post this correctly. Sorry Daox

I'm no engineer, but why do I think that the rear sway bar needs 2 more mounting points - possibly on the torsion beam.

Most sway bars (that I know of) have 4 mounting points: two ends, and two in the middle-ish.

Just making sure the engineering of the product actually happened.

    Case in point:

    Good question!

My 2 cents: the wide spacing of the 2 bolts per side removes the need for additional mounting points.

BUT... it would be easy enough to test:

If the gap between the corner of the bar and the torsion beam changes when one side is compressed and the other unloaded, then adding additional brackets & bushings to attach the bar to the beam would stiffen it even more.

The only issue with adding more points of attachment is that in order to do so, you will need to drill into the torsion beam. Which if I am not mistaken will weaken the torsion beam and cause failure. I had thought of a hand way of using a U shaped brack that does not require any drilling but it will need to BOLT clamp like a C-clamp does. or just have brackets welded to the torsion beam(more costly) but it would be stiffer and better for track day driving!
