Honda hx rims

They are popular in the honda crowd for being light weight. 14 inch rim 5.5 wide. Offset should be at 45. They weigh at 11.75lbs. I want to get a set and see if they are compatible. Only issue ive read amongst honda guys. Is for the bigger calipers there is clearance issues. Im crossing my fingers and hoping there is none with us. Ill update if i do buy some from a local seller.

If the hx wheels are similar to the 13inch vx wheels, they should fit fine without clearance issues.

Instead of pushing my 15s, I should just try to get 13's LOL.

And the VX 13's are even lighter. Under 10 lbs, if I remember right.

I had a set of those on an old Accord EX 5MT.

If anyone's interested in VX wheels, my set is for sale. New Kumho Solus tires in November. 468 miles on them. Comes with center caps and chrome lug nuts, the short ones. I have them listed locally for $300, but I'd ask $250 from a member. The above picture is of these wheels on my car.

Yea they are very similar one is 13 and the other is 14. Notice any mpg improvement on the smaller rim

I only had them on for a short time, and it was during a very cold spell (-10 to 20 F) with too many variables (wind, snow). I can't say that I got better gas mileage with these wheels.

What I did notice is that they spin up faster than the stock wheels. I could easily shift at lower rpms, as the engine has an easier time turning these wheels, at 24 pounds each including the tires. The car was more fun to drive in a spirited manner.

I just swapped my set of VX wheels on, and was surprised to see I didn't even need the hub rings anymore.
