As an overall question, is anyone else thoroughly UNimpressed with the factory antenna reception? Mine is horrible. I don't listen to regular radio much, but I do like to tune into my STL Cardinal games, and it is significantly worse than any of my friends cars...

I hate the my stock antenna's reception.
That's why I'm asking about using one of those signal amplifiers.
My stock antenna wasn't the best, however it did better than my new stubby CF Ralliart unit.

Yeah, pretty much. I thought about checking out an amplifier but the reception is tolerable for me. And I doubt mine is an authentic Ralliart or real carbon fiber, since it was around $5 shipped; heck, it might not even really be an antenna lmao.

I ended up returning my autozone antenna and went back to stock for now. The difference in sound quality from usb mode to am/fm is amazing.
I bought one. I took it off after about 1 minute. I thought it looked retarded since, 1) it doesn't mount flush at the bottom where it mates to the car's mount and 2) it looked goofy as heck all stubby while the car mount is big. I looked like the antenna skipped arm day.
So, I went with a "cell" style one. It's only 14inches long and mount flush. DOesn't look goofy at all and I can lower the antenna a bit more since it's stiffer than the stock one. It flows quite nice. I never listen to the radio, but I didn't hear any reception issues after installation; sounded the same as stock.
