    Taking care of your exterior

I want to make an offer to all of you guys, doesn't matter if you live outside the US, I don't sell products but I'm the owner of a custom detailing business.

    cajundetailingbykevin.com

Sure your new car looks great when you first buy it but without proper care and maintenance the paint, trim will then begin to show signs of neglect.
I'm here to help anyone that may need it.
In a sense my paint is bullet proof due to prepping and protecting the paint, trim, even glass.
There's some great products offered to us these days , some I'm sure you never heard of.
Different ways to wash your car too.

Anyway being I'm now part of this great forum I might as well help out when I can.

    Kevin

Nope, but depending on your price, I might not mind driving over... The professional detailers around town (Houston area) apparently only detail supercars.

Okay, my first question would be: Which paste wax would you recommend, that won't break the bank?

For the best long lasting wax that also gives you a slick looking shine try the Collinite 845 Insulator Wax, really a sealant but it's a liquid and your question was which paste wax would I recommend but wanted to make sure you knew about this 6 month long lasting wax, IMO it's the best wax over all.

Cost $18.00, cheaper than most over the counter waxes.

    Here's the link:

    http://www.autogeek.net/collinite-in...r-wax-845.html

Apply a very thin layer of wax, wait a couple of minutes after applying it to your hood and two front fenders and simply buff it off.
    Loaded with UV protection.

Want a good paste wax that last longer than two months but not "break the bank " you have to try the Collinite #951 paste wax.
At $33.00 it a hard wax to beat, just make sure to apply it thin also, you be blown away at the shine and longevity it will give you.
There's other waxes I like but loved this one the first time I tried it, looks good on any color but looks really good on dark colors and silvers.

Can be applied either by hand which I prefer or with a polisher.

Apply two coats and it will last throughout the hot summer months.

As with any waxes make sure to cay bar the paint to remove any contaminants for better bonding and for a slicker finish.

I used many sealants and sometimes coatings , IMHO the best sealant is the Wolfgang Glossy Paint Sealant.
It leaves the paint very slick, high shine and last around 10-12 months, it's not cheap but if you want the very best than Wolfgang is the way to go.

Let cure for 24 hours then apply the Collinite Insulator followed by a good Nuba.
The 2014 Mirage paint is thin so it's important to protected it, using a paint thickness meter the clear and paint combined is about 2.3 mil.
My paint has much more gloss then the day I bought it.
Just make sure to wash and clay the clear to remove contaminates before applying anything to the finish.
If not it won't last very long.
