What do you do for a living?

I am a slave of uncle SAM as I work for a branch of the local County doing IT work. Official title is Assistant Systems Administrator.

    What do you do?

As little as I can get away with!

Hope my clients don't see that... I'm a self-employed web developer.

    Negative.

The best programmers (and web developers count, I think) are the lazy ones... We automate things. Write code for everything... To make things easier for us.

I'm really more of a hardware guy, but this job opened up so I took it. Growing up and in school I hated programming. Until I realized that to make my life easier, I need to program some stuff.

So now, I hate programming a tad less.

    Lucky you.

I tell people I'm semi-retired, and much of the time it certainly appears that way. Lately you wouldn't know it though. Too busy!

I write and produce network promo spots. Most of the time, my official title draws quizzical looks from people, so I just say I'm a writer to keep things simple.

I work on a small vegetable farm. I do all kinds of things related to growing vegetables including field prep, seeding, transplanting, cultivating, harvesting, washing and packing, greenhouse work, etc.

Are you employed by a major network, GMA/ABS, or another company that provides for networks?

Don't tell kids. They might hunt you down so they won't have to eat veggies.
