Do two Mirages count as a meet?

Until tonight, I hadn't seen another Mirage in person in my small city (which has no Mitsu dealership). But today within 3 minutes, I saw TWO, and had an impromptu Mirage meet-up with one of them. It never rains, it pours.

I spotted the first one I while scouting locations to take photos of the loaner Mirage from Mitsu Canada: an identical infrared base model went by in the other direction. So of course I stuck my arm out the window and waved (the guy looked shocked). I turned the car around to, uh, stalk him I guess. But I lost him.

However, not 3 minutes later I spotted this plasma purple one driving out of a popular park and gave another big wave out the window. Big smiles this time, and they pulled over. It was the same local car I heard about from a friend (and posted about in the Mirages spotted in the wild thread).

Had a nice chat with a friendly couple who seem to be enjoying the car. It's hers; his car is a JDM Nissan Skyline (summer car).

"What was the main thing that made you buy it?" I asked.

Without hesitating she said, "THE COLOUR!!"

She bought it 2 weeks after seeing a Mirage commercial. Top spec CVT. (That's the "SE" trim in Canada). She says she gets lots of compliments on it.

I floated the idea of comparing fuel economy, CVT vs. 5MT, on her regular 25 km (16 mi.) commute sometime next week, and she thought that would be fine.

Nice couple . Talking about the cars . Good to know some will take the time to talk to others . So , you must have the loaner . The Infrared is my favorite . The Blue for her . Can't wait to see your results .

Here's a few snaps I have taken when I see a mirage parked. Even if it involves twice as much walking, I will still park next to it
    At shopping centre carparks:

    Couldn't resist this:

This is at my work, there is now a silver one that parks in the carpark at times:

Yeah, JRT are my intials, and I get called James Bond pretty often. I wanted plates that I could keep on any car, and not personalised to one car, so I got something I liked

Us Texans are about to have one... If I decide to take my Mirage to San Antonio...

We now have 3 peeps registered there. Now, if I can get all 3 of us in the same place...
