Do yourself a favor, if you're going to be working on your car doing brakes, oil changes, etc. Get a matching set of 4 jack stands, they come in pairs. I have two pairs of stands similar to these, about $50.00 and they'll hold way more weight than the Mirage:

For an easy experience using a jack, I'd go with a lightweight fast lift jack. This is the one I have and it works good for being lightweight (easy to carry if need be), it has a lower profile than most larger shop jacks to get under vehicles that sit typically low, and more than enough lifting power for these cars. I used mine on my Grand Cherokee on a regular basis, lately my dad has been using it on his Camaro because his big shop jack won't fit under it.

I've never personally used ramps, we always had jacks and stands growing up.

Who needs jackstands to change their oil?

On my Focus I drive on some blocks of wood and do my best to push / shake the car off before doing the oil change. But I don't need to get under my Focus to change the oil, luckily

My Focus has nothing done to it so no point in posting a picture haha.

Oil changes on the Jeep are super easy!

The smallest jack stands that are made are designed to hold around 2,000 pounds. Since this is what our entire car weighs, it will be fine. Every time I put any of my vehicles up on a jack, I raise the car up, lower it on the jack stand, and then leave the jack in place. The jack acts as a backup should the stand fail.
