If this is the case for you guys, there has to be something wrong with mine. We're deep into summer and my milage still hasn't gone back to what it was last summer when I bought it. I still often am getting 6- 6.5 l/100 km in decently hot weather for an hour highway drive and it will still do the thing it started to do in the winter where it showed a crazy mpg at the start. It didn't do that last summer, starting directly in decent milage estimates. I've gotten it back down the 4.8 on a 3-4 hour drive but that doesn't compare to last summer when I was routinely getting 4.2-4.6.

    What could be the problem?

    Typical factors affecting MPG:

    - Changes in driving routine have the biggest impact. EG. route, terrain, speeds, driving style, trip length (shorter = worse, all else being equal).

    - A/C usage

    - Different tires/wheels?

I'm not sure how many miles you have on your vehicle but if you're getting close to 30k, then I would get the CVT fluid serviced of you have one. Get the engine air filter replaced too. Make sure you have the proper inflation in your tires. If you're using the AC make sure recirculate is on. Also make sure your e-brake isn't engaged and none of your brakes are rubbing. You could also get your battery checked. I know after one year my dealer found that my battery was testing very poor this causes your alternator to work overtime stressing your engine. One last thing ethanol fuel has a shelf life of three to four months. If you have old fuel in your car it will make it run like crap. So will very short trips as it doesn't charge your battery enough and eventually kills it.

Actually a short hill, maybe half mile. Just get it to freeway speed, 65 in this case before you hit it, then reset MPG to zero. I have an automatic and keep it in drive. It's a great photo to show friends when they start chattering about MPG. The highest I've gotten on flat ground is 61.5
