Gas Mileage Picture thread ; Let it be shown (trip computer pics of great MPG)

This is the base '11 FIT ( 5 speed auto ) from earlier . Wish I could get my hands on a MIRAGE with the C.V.T. for a few days to see what the F.E. could be . Will get a fill this weekend and possibly take pics ( if I remember ) . Looking forward to others results .

Here's my latest, and first attempt at great fuel economy. 13 mile trip to sell a subwoofer, then another 13 mile drive back home for a total of 26 miles. Top speed on this trip was 60 mph, but most of the trip was at speeds between 40-50 mph. I had the A/C going full blast the entire time. The Service Engine Soon light came on after I tried to connect my old Scan Gauge (the old, original first model) up to the car.

Both are impressive . I should of mentioned to get the pictures just before filling the gas tank when closest to empty . Then include calculated gas mileage to see how accurate the display is for overall gas mileage for that fill . Thanks for the pictures and keep 'em a comin' .

I don't understand a picture of the display when refueling, mine resets after 5 hours of sitting. Is there a way for it to not reset, if so how? I've been through the menu and did not see it, but could have missed it.

Yes, there's a second display that doesn't automatically reset, but the Mirage's MID interface is DUMB.

To get to the "B" (manual reset) MPG gauge:

    1) go to the screen that shows your distance to empty
    2) press and hold the button until it beeps
    3) go to the MPG screen - note that "B" is indicated... that's your MPG since your last manual reset (or since the car last passed 9999 miles, whichever comes first).

Note that every time you shut off the car, it defaults to the auto-resetting "A" MPG gauge.

Filled up before we went on a 171.8 mile trip . The FIT w/ the 5 speed auto got 39.7 ( 364.5 mis. / 9.185 gals. ) and the display showed 38.7 . The gas needle is always a needle width above full after a complete fill .
