Could buy your own oil ( $5 or less a qt. ) to bring to the service center and then buy the oil filter at the parts dept. . That way you pay for the oil filter ($7.00 ? ) and labor which should be less than $20 . I'd think it to be around $45.

K-Mart has Exxon Superflo for $1.79 a quart . Should be able to get Wal-Mart to match this and the Pennzoil price . The K-Mart has to be within a 30 mile radius to match .

I thought 5w-20 was synthetic/synthetic blend. Did I get that info mixxed up again?

That's the reason why the mitsu guy told me the next oil change will cost an arm n a leg...

At least around Indiana, the best deal I've seen on synthetic 0w-20 oil has been $3 a quart at Mendards a couple weeks ago. The next week they had $2 Bosch oil filters, so the next 5 oil changes will run me only $11 each

Good stuff. I'm planning on switching to 10w-30 soon for the rest of the summer.

    ARES , the Pennzoil ( Yellow Bottle ) and the Exxon Superflo are conventional . 5w-20 as well . Go to these for a V.O.A. ( Virgin Oil Analysis ) of the 3 . Pennzoil 5w-30 : http://www.pqiamerica.com/Pennzoil.htm , Pennzoil 5w-20 : http://www.pqiamerica.com/Nov2013/Pennzoil.htm and Exxon Superflo 5w-30 : http://www.pqiamerica.com/exxonlabelrevnew.htm . The Petroleum Quality Institute of America ( P.Q.I.A. ) is very informative site . Go here if interested , http://www.pqiamerica.com/ .
