I run my cars hard and I haven't had to add oil between changes ... my Mirage is no exception!

Agrees with cookiemonster, as well as my Galant as my Mirage has not need any single drop of oil between exchanges of 20.000 KM.
With the insane oil exchange rate for you Americans, no need to worry or check oil AT ALL!

Every 3000? Manufacturers are finally starting to warm up to extending the interval. My Focus is 7500 miles / 6 months ... once it's out of warranty, it will be 10,000 miles.

But, Americans, as a whole, are generally pretty apathetic when it comes to cars. There are still a lot of people who manage to run their engine dry of oil and we have to have asinine TPMS systems because people can't check their tires, and backup cameras because people are too busy texting to put down the phone and look behind them/use a mirror.
