Interesting review. The Mirage doesn't seem to be mentioned on that site even in the list of most efficient non-hybrids. Maybe they didn't update it for 2014 models (though 2014 4wd vehicles are listed).

He's also with AUTOBYTEL . There's no review of the '14 or '15 Mirage as of yet . Would be interesting .
The performance (economy / power) of the 1.0L EcoBoost is amazing
I'm not comfortable with direct injection yet, give it some more years..
The timing belt running internally, in the engine oil also makes me squirmy.
Throw a turbocharger into the mix, and I'd be thinking about selling it the day the warranty expires.
And oh yes, $$$
