Brake light gone out after 2200km

Has this happened to anyone else so early?

That's really annoying. It's not even something worth bringing to the dealership and getting fixed for free (if they even would).

bulbs come and go. would be a real problem if you've replaced it already numerous times and it burns out repeatedly.

it's an easy fix. just get a double contact bulb (p21w/5w or 1157)

Mitsubishi doesn't manufacture the bulbs, so you likely just got a dud. It happens sometimes.

I am sure they would replace it, but why bother? Is it really worth having the car at the dealership all day when you can replace the part yourself for $2 in 2 minutes?

Taking it to the dealer would waste much more than $2 worth of my TIME...

is it a bulb(s) or a switch? if bulbs I don't think is is covered by warranty. The way I look at it is a good opportunity to replace bulbs with LEDs. Brighter, and 0.2sec faster from off to full; doesn't sounds like much but 0.2sec is 18' at 60mph.
