just a lad in Seattle with a brand new Mirage!

Hello! Discovered this website and thought I would join. I was actually looking at Subarus, however, I saw this at a Mitsubishi lot and really dig it. I bought myself a silver, manual DE 2015 Mirage. I have finally reach 1000 miles and this car is the best GO-KART car ever. In Seattle, with the hills, winding roads, and RAIN; this car just loves to go...I am seeing great hwy miles, but not so much city driving. Please do keep in mind, this is my first manual in 10 years and may be a factor. The only ONLY thing i dislike is that it does not have a hill-start, and strut bar. Glad to be here!!

Hey Josharoo - glad you got the registration issue sorted out.

Congrats on the purchase. What Subaru were you considering? No direct competitors to the Mirage in their line-up in the States...

    Welcome to the forum!

Hi there, congrats on getting your ride ... kart ....!!
I went to Seattle 2 years ago and we rented a Kia (the smallest car the rental has to offer) and I indeed noticed the hilly roads, windy etc which makes me wonder how Mirage would perform there. But from your review it did just great.

I'm saving money for strut bar though, UR have them. i think it will enchance the go kart-ness feeling much further.

Mine's very bad in cities, rating around 6.8 - 7.0L/100 KM. And it's 1.0L manual

I was looking at a Base impreza sedan/wagon. I have a friend who has it and really like how it drove. I did have AWD in mind when it came to buying the car, but I really do not encounter snow that much around Seattle and driving in rain is not hard for me unless I am on a steep uphill in a manual. I do not have any regrets getting the Mirage, in fact I am happier since the driving style, to me, is more fun! Thank you for working with me with the registration, I must have done something wrong.

I am getting about 25-30 most of the time in the city. I bet that is the best I am going to get in Seattle due to the hills, rain, and lastly, Seattle's passive aggressive drivers. On a good day, I am still seeing about the same, even if I drive dull. I am not complaining since the car is just awesome! I have had some friends pick on me about how it looks but once they took it for a spin, they changed their minds on it.
