There are a number of new 2017 Mirage ES models here for under $10,000. Tempting.

Real price?
Or fake price, using a multitude of stacked rebates that perhaps only one person in the entire U.S. qualifies for?

Good point. I looked one other time, but couldn't find the fine print. Here it is:
OK, so:STATED PRICE IS AFTER ALL APPLICABLE REBATES! $1500 CUSTOMER REBATE, $500 LOYALTY REBATE, $500.00 MILITARY REBATE. THIS PRICE IS NOT APPLICABLE WITH ANY OTHER OFFERS OR 0% FINANCING!
$1,500 "customer rebate." That should be easy enough. I'm a "customer."
$500 Loyalty Rebate. Not sure on this one. I own another Mitsubishi. Does that count?
$500 Military Rebate. I didn't serve, so I'm out on that.
I have a 1999 Eclipse and got a $250 loyalty rebate on my Mirage last year.
Here's what the NADA site says...which is kind of interesting...
Returning Mitsubishi buyers will be welcomed back to the brand with a $500 loyalty bonus.
Uniquely enough, Mitsubishi's customer loyalty rebate is also eligible for current owners of discontinued United States auto brands Saturn, Suzuki, Scion and Isuzu.

FYI, I picked up a '17 Mirage ES 5MT (with bluetooth) for $9,600 out the door. Got all the rebates minus military. Deal was done at Alan Webb Mitsubishi in Vancouver, WA.

I'm not sure how I missed this post^? No we don't buy used. We bought back a few from the insurance company that got written off.
I'm still keeping my eyes open on a used cvt mirage for under $5000. Soon my commute is gonna go from 14kms a day to over 50. I've always had unpractical vehicles but driving an 8500lb dually as a commuter car is getting tiring and I can't even fit car seats in my only other vehicle.

Curious: why the CVT?
