Install a Rear Camera on Mirage / Space Star

Its easy to install the rear camera if you have a Clarion NX509 or T-01 in your car

    1. Camera connector block. Left side back of the car
The white wire is video, the ground is gray.
Use the backlight wire for +12v
    2. Some people may be connected to the new connector. But I cut it and then solder them.
    3. Use a camera of performance. Reasonably good quality.
    4. Do not forget to finish off the plug on the original place.
    5. Set the camera ⇒ General NTSC or PAL, but i use the PAL version of the camera, Try it.
    6. The camera, Screw it, or use the 3M tape.

    Good luck!

    Hey OP! Noob here

How about the optional back-up sensor/camera? how does this fair to the one offered at the dealer?

    camera question

Thanks for the info on the camera. However, maybe I missed it, but how did you get the camera wire from inside to outside the car. Did you just put it through the hatch door and let the door close on it or did you have a drill hole with a separate path?

I want to know what that little red *button?* is on the back hatch...I haven't noticed anything like that on mine

    red button

I didn't notice the red button either. I don't have one. Anyone know what it is for?
Also, can you tell me how to get the camera cable from the inside to the outside of the car?
Do I need to drill holes?

There's a licence plate light on the hatch. He probably tucked the wire into the opening you can see above the camera and fished the wire through the same rubber grommet used for the light.

That red button looks like an aftermarket parking/proximity sensor to me.

Dear MPG: I think you are right. But now I'm cofused. What's the big black wire hanging down for?
