Muffler Replacement -- Update: got a custom cat back exhaust

Hey all, I stumbled across a video where a guy put one of these on a Honda 600. It's not a straight thru so it would offer some noise reduction, and it comes in the diameter of our exhaust. I'm tempted.

Update -- see post #39 for details: I went ahead and got a custom exhaust done today. From the first cat back I went 1.75 to a 2.0 inch performance muffler, then 1.75 to the end. I couldn't be happier it sounds great

If I did I would keep the rest of the exhaust as is. I'm still curious if our stock muffler is straight thru or not, I can't seem to find any info on it.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n2hpMII8aIY kind of gives you a look inside the stock muffler, hard to tell but the design doesn't look to be straight through. Mind you I would not put this ebay crap in the video on a mirage, I was just showing an example.

edit: I would start at 1:40

I know that the exhaust diameter is 1.5, but does anyone know the diameter of the the muffler body?

Wow straight pipe all the way back? What size piping did you go with?

All 1.5" left the tail resi on, it drones a bit at cruising speed and spits and pops and buzzes and growls but it sounds angry and I like it!!

Videos later today, trying to borrow a good microphone.
