Mitsubishi: new "brand identity" (styling/corporate "face") for 2016

All of our 2016 model year vehicles will be refreshed with our new brand identity, starting with the 2016 Outlander, which will make its world premiere at the New York International Auto Show in April.

That means less than a year from now we'll see the new "corporate face" on the Mirage... unless we see it earlier than that on the Mirage sedan.

Hmm. Seems they're unable to make their minds up... A few years back it was the 'Jet Fighter' look they were after - Witness the Evo X, the ASX and the facelifted Colt. Then they suddenly decided to go all hybrid/eco and that look was binned. Since then I don't think there's been a common look.

Personally I liked the shark-nosed look of the 90s Mitsus - especially the Galant.

I liked the shark look too.

Apparently we'll get our first look at the new corporate "face" in a couple of months:

“When spring blossoms we’ll introduce something else at the New York auto show,” he adds, referring to the production version of a redesigned Outlander CUV that will reveal the new “face” of future Mitsubishi vehicles.

I guess I don't see how it's much different than what they currently have. I understand that they have to work within limits, of course, becaues they only want to redesign the headlights and plastic bumper parts.
