    I had taken mine off aswell but i noticed a huge flat spot in power around 3200 and it started to annoy me so i reinstalled.

    Can't say I've noticed the flat spot. I'll pay attention tomorrow. I don't have the option of reinstalling either I completely f#%€ed it up trying to modify it. 105.00 for a new one.

    Y'all's definition of "growl" is quite different from the wife's definition.
    She claims that the sound muffles music and she is unable to listen to music at fwy speeds.
    I will remove the snorkel again tonight and drive her car in my morning commute.

    I removed it because the material that keeps the plastic parts quiet have deteriorated and I now hear a clatter at idle.
