Article: You're Not Just Seeing Things: Mitsubishi Breaks U.S. Mirage Sales Records

A lively discussion about the Mirage is going on at The Truth About Cars as a result of the car's rising sales. However the writer can't resist lobbing a few of the usual cheap shots at the car, though (eg. "penalty box", "wish it was a mirage"...)

If you follow our Mirage monthly sales thread, you already know how the car is doing:

Mitsubishi sold 3785 Mirages in the first-quarter of 2014, 4482 in the second-quarter, and 4599 in the third-quarter. Q4 volume not surprisingly fell to 3842 units, but January sales broke past the 1700-unit barrier for the first time. February, with 1863 units, was 158 sales better than January’s record, a 9% month-over-month improvement.
The comment section is getting lively.

One even said: "...would love to hear from someone who bought one and why".

I posted several times there since 2:00 pm.
None of my posts are visible 6 hours later as they are "awaiting moderation". It looks like comments are only posted if they follow the anti mirage sentiment the comments are full of.
Oh well.... just another self serving voice against the mirage.
    Will weld for beer.

Did you post links or use any foul language? Things like that would automatically flag the posts as spam or inappropriate. My posts went through just fine.

Cani Lupine: I saw your posts. Did you register there today, or was it an old account?

I've administered WordPress-based sites, and have seen new accounts/posts get dropped into the moderation queue because of keywords that trip alarms, even when they're innocent.

I suspect the other posts will show up once a human has a look at them ... tomorrow morning.

    It's an existing account, actually.

That might explain the others' delay.

EDIT: I see everybody's comments there now. Way to represent.

I'm still on the fence. But for those like me, Mitsu is now offering a $2k rebate on the left over 2014 models! They updated their other offers as well. I find the dealers very off putting before I even walk in the doors. All of them just add on every discount someone could qualify for as their advertised price. It makes me want to not even step foot in a dealership.

Exact same thing I'm experiencing here. Ugh, f the b.s. I wholeheartedly agree with you on this.
