    Disable TPMS

How to disable TPMS? I do not want this crap on my car since I do always check my pressure. Any help is appreciated.

In for details. The alloys I have on the car does not have the sensors that are still on the OEM wheels.

Disabling the TPMS system is illegal in the United States. This also applies to installing aftermarket wheels without sensors installed. Here's the full legal info: http://www.nhtsa.gov/cars/rules/ruli...nalrule.6.html

No its not... they mandate it to be on the car, but not if you own it. Some states requires you to have them working when you do a inspection when you register you car. In CA that is not true;-)

Technically, it's a Federal law, so it is illegal to make your TPMS "not operable" no matter where you live. Enforcement is an entirely different matter.

Pull the bulb out of your instrument cluster?
Custom Mirage products: Cruise control kit, Glove box light, MAF sensor housing, Rear sway bar, Upper grill block

Current project: DIY Nitrous oxide setup for ~$100

Thought about doing this already. Although, wouldnt it be some sort of LED back there or are we using good 'ol bulbs?

@Cani Lupine: I think it was a rule for the automakers more than anything... Just like the ruling that all vehicles are supposed to have backup cameras sooner or later.

Nobody has verified if the cluster uses LEDs or not to my knowledge.

Somewhere on the forum it is written that it can be disabled. But you need a programmer which is more expencive then 4 new
    tpms modules :-(.
