David! Congrats! I missed this entry before.

Darin! (MetroMPG) Yeah a lot of similarities with the Mirage like the mirrors seem identical or the weird scrolling through the menu to get to something on the display but the suspension is not soft on this one. (maybe the front!)

I have to make a left turn every day onto a rutted road that the Mirage's suspension soaks up so well that I have never noticed how bad it was until now doing it with the i-Miev I get quite the sideways oscillations as the 4 wheels sequentially step over the ruts.

But no complaints because I have packed 480 lbs of concrete in the back and could not even tell it was there! No squatting,no handling issues.

Energy consumption meter is the fuel gauge! How many miles can you stretch before a segment will drop? (I average 5.5)
The first bar can be stretched longer (like 10 miles) than the rest. Like it has a hidden 17th bar.

No wheel spin: Unfortunately the 'throttle' has about a 2 second ramp up even if the accelerator is stabbed so can't get that
off the line brutal EV blast off. However I find acceleration more impressive when holding a steady 30 MPH and then stab the go pedal. Could be an illusion though!
I got to try power braking it though to find out if it would do it's ramping while the brakes are held....they probably programmed it to not allow that but I will try it.

I should make my own garage entry too!

Once again congrats David,I'm sure you are still enjoying the icar! Owned mine less than a month and put over 1700 miles on it!

Go for it! iMiev is the Mirage of EV's.

Yeah, I know you could monitor the battery gauge, but it's not quite the same. That's like monitoring the bars of a digitial fuel gauge in a gasser instead of having an MPG gauge. All the other EV's I've driven have dedicated consumption meters in addition to the battery level.

That's funny. Most gas gauges are like that too.
