Phone keeps disconnecting from Display Audio w/ Smartphone link system (Android Auto)

Hello Forum Members, Has anyone experienced any problems maintaining a connection while plugged into the Display Audio with Smartphone link system on a 2017 Mirage SE? I have tried both a Samsung Galaxy S7 and a Samsung Galaxy J7 Sky Pro running the Android Auto Application. I have made sure that the connections are tight and even tried using several different cables. However, the phone disconnects from the system frequently, for no apparent reason, while I am using the WAZE app. Other times it will disconnect whenever I am running WAZE, and then try listening to Amazon Music at the same time. I love being able to connect my phone to the system for these apps. I am just going crazy right now trying to figure out the cause of the problem. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

How long is the USB cable you're using?

    2 things.

    1. Buy a quality 3' or less cable, not a cheap dollar-tree etc.

    2. Re-install the app.

Then try it out and see if you continue to have problems and let us know.

Thank you for your help, Alex1a1f! It took me a while to find a good quality short cable. I did as you had suggested, and it seems to have fixed the problem.

I have this problem as well. And I use the original USB cord supplied by my phone manufacturers and it still disconnects. Most times randomly, other times if I hit a pot hole or something.

So it physically disconnects than remakes connection? How long is the cord?

    Try this 2 foot cable.

    https://www.amazon.com/Tech-Armor-Hi.../dp/B016QW63V0

This cable cured my disconnected phone issue. Make sure you only unplug the cable by gripping the hard plastic connector and not the wire. Also make sure that you don't position the phone in such a way that the cord gets bent backward too much near the connector.
