    I bet R01k has the most feasible explanation that makes since. It may be cost prohibitive to make wiring harnesses for every model of a particular vehicle. Make a master wiring harness that can connect everything on every model leaving some connections open. His explanation makes sense.

    Sometimes those connectors are for factory use before the car is delivered

    I think thats why my belt indicator doesnt work. But theres no cable running that connects to my seatbelt. That can be very useful for reminding to use the seatbelt.

    Did the indicator lit up when you first start your car? If it don't, then you will have to change the etacs to enable it. After that, you can buy the buckle head with a sensor to connect it.

    I think I've seen it lit up when I start the car but not so sure. I'll take a pic later to check. anyways I also check if the buckle head had a wire but it doesn't have so I think its really not included.

    You can buy buckle head off asx/outlander sport. It's the same parts number.
