    Side skirts!

So I got bitten by the mod bug again and picked up another sheet of coroplast to make some side skirts. These are 72.5" long, which is how long the sheet was, and 3" wide. They're bent inwards behind the front tires to help block air from blowing the skirts outwards, and are held on by 3M automotive tape on metal corner braces, with plenty of Gorilla tape to secure and smooth the edges.

I had to drive out to Silver Spring, MD today for my job, but rush hour traffic really limited how I could test it. However, it did feel VERY stable at speed, so it does seem like there's some downforce with the air dam and side skirts together.

Traffic was too heavy to really say what they did for fuel economy, but the butt dyno says they help a bit.

It does make sense they'd work together with the airdam.

So now you've reduced underbody airflow with: airdam, lowering and skirts.

    Thanks for posting.

I also have the rear diffuser, as well as an extra panel underneath the engine, so it's pretty well covered underneath.
