Same as running ITBs with trumpets. Car will have no resale value as it is seen as a girls car.
Rather have it more zippy and sound grunty than no sound.
Without the MAF, your engine isn't going to run correctly, either. It's rev happy because it's dumping in more fuel.

This is what I always thought. Any power increase has to come from a simple increase in air flow due to this system's less restrictive design.
I can see this system being of some benefit if it actually did allow colder air from the outside of the engine compartment to be fed into the engine through less restrictive piping. The air this setup sucks in may be NEAR ambient, but the air the stock intake sucks in IS ambient.
You realize that the folks who run ITB's usually run some form of filtration too, right? And that this ranges from what is essentially some panty hose-like material stretched across each intake to a full-on foam cover that completely shrouds the intakes? Only actual race cars and/or people with the money+skills to rebuild motors run unfiltered ITB setups, and even then its pretty dumb considering how minimal the potential losses of filtration are compared with how HUGE the benefits of filtering out particulate are. Have you tried just mounting a filter directly to the throttle body? You should get the same sound without the potential harm.
EDIT: a 'girl's car'... seriously? You'd better buy an enormous truck to make sure no one thinks your a pansy. </s> The car will have no resale value because you're caning it, which is okay but lets be honest about it.
