How does the Mirage fuel economy compare with mazda 3 1.6

I just got approved for my very first car loan and I should be getting my mirage in a couple of days
    .
I used to drive a 1.6 mazda 3 that was given to me by my dad. I'm not that knowledgeable when it comes to fuel economy so I was hoping that someone could give me an idea on how much I will be able to save in terms of percentages(25%, 30%, etc...). This way, I will know how much I will need to budget for my fuel.

Thanks for anyone who can respond!

The Mirage is much more frugal. You'd be getting at least 50% better, or even 100% depending on traffic conditions. The CVT is spectacularly economical in the highways!

    That's awesome!

So I guess it's safe to say that if I'm spending 300 pesos per day on fuel for my mazda 3, I can bring it down to around 150-200 pesos?(I noticed that you're also from the Philippines)

    Thanks!

That sounds about right. My own daily fuel spend is about Php120. Route is Quezon City - Taguig via C5. 30km round-trip commute with moderate to heavy traffic.

That said, my vehicle is a manual, which is potentially more economical in traffic.

oaba09 - congrats on your new Mitsu!

I hope you'll report back here once you've got some numbers to report vs. your Mazda 3.

Just got my car yesterday. I have a question regarding the fuel gauge....It has a 0 on the left side and a 1 on the right most side....Is "1" the full tank or is there another level on the gauge?
