Question Can 13" rims be used?

    This site -- https://winter-tires.pmctire.com/enw -- says:

We suggest also a size better adapted for winter driving (implies buying adapted wheels):
    13" - 175/70-R13

The 13" winter tires are easier to get, so 13" rims seem an attractive alternative to the stock 14" ones.

I was gonna say it but Darin beat me to it. A few members have had Honda Civic VX wheels on their Mirages.
Custom Mirage products: Cruise control kit, Glove box light, MAF sensor housing, Rear sway bar, Upper grill block

Current project: DIY Nitrous oxide setup for ~$100

Can '17 owners take advantage of 13" wheels as well, especially steel wheels for snow tires?

    I guess not, shame.

Why? The larger brakes are considered an upgrade.

I'm sure you can post a trade and find an owner of a 2014 or 2015 Mirage who would be willing to trade with you.

Lol, I'm quite happy with my '17 and the enhanced brakes, I don't think there's a 13" wheel tire combo out there that would entice me to trade my car.

Well, that's a good point but I meant trading brakes, not the whole car.
