    Adding steering remote controls

im planning to add steering controls into my car, however upon opening the 2 side covers, there is no harness in the steering wheel.
does anyone know what is the part number for the steering harness?
is there anything else i need to enable the functionality of steering remote other than the switch and harness.

I'm not 100% sure, but you may have to mess with the ETACS to enable it.

I already have steering wheel controls, but I replaced the factory stereo with an in dash sat nav.... I'm getting my auto electrician guy back over here in a week, to reconnect my steering wheel controls, because there's a code that will make the Sat Nav communicate with my steering wheel again... Pretty excited, considering its not a brand name Sat/Nav....

In Malaysia there's not even an option for the steering wheel controls.
I'm able to find the part for the steering wheel control.
But no luck with the harness. I was told that I would have to purchase an entire steering wheel.

Since the steering wheel with audio controls are from the Outlander it makes sense that you'd have to order the whole steering wheel. Mitsubishi probably only assembles the cars 2 ways. One with the base steering wheel with no audio controls and the other from the Outlander with them.

Steering wheel audio control for mirage is different with outlander sport. Most likely you will have to wire it yourself,...

Same shape, different connector behind. Believe me, ive been through this. I bought the switch for outlander. And it didnt fit the connector because of different socket used. They only share the same shape :P

    which socket is different?
-The socket behind the audio controller
    or
    -The socket on the clockspring

which harness are you currently using? the harness that came with the car?

btw you might want to take a look at this.
