Question Front fender popped off, how to pop it back?

    Hello,

I was on a trip to the coast and must have driven across too many bumps. When I came home, I noticed that my right front fender was popped off from its connections.

Do you know how I can pop it back? Shear force, or is there a trick to it?

thx a lot for your thoughts?

Below are some photos of the situation

I think it should just snap back in place, assuming there is no damage that is causing a misalignment.

    regards

Indeed. I recently had my front bumper off for rustproofing behind it and yes - that flange is just clipped on. I found it easier to push that part back into place if I lifted the bumper upwards slightly - This helped that lip to clear the tangs that hold it in place.

alright, thank you for these hints.

I was able to pop it back into place and think that there was no permanent damage done.
Still weird though, why this thing went off in the first place.

    thx!

That is weird Donut. Happened to me last year but it was from a collision with a large raccoon.

I have this problem with another car I own. It had the front bumper replaced due to a collision, and it doesn't fit quite right anymore. I think the plastic retainer bits on the bumper are busted though. I'll have to look into some other method of fixing it. It currently sticks out about a quarter inch and annoys me each time I look at it.
