Hey all, happy to say that I'm picking up my new Mirage later today.
Has anyone bothered to try to change any of the orange instrument panel lighting? I'm wondering how accessible they are, and if they are illuminated with normal bulbs or what.

Pretty simple looking to remove. Just take the screws out. I've had no reason to take mine out but i'd highly assume its just bulbs as the speedo looks right out of the mid 90's.
Chances are that the gauge is orange and the bulbs are white which normally means you need to scrap the back clean to get the right colors you want.
Welcome to the forum! What part of the country are you in?
Here's a thread on cluster LED changes, though it's pretty involved:
Thread: Change LED meter Full colour (instrument cluster)

I'm in Newfoundland.
I've seen that thread and plan to do that with my gauges. Specifically though, my question refers to the heating switches etc. I see he's got a picture of that area, but I don't think he's changed the colour of anything (or has he?; picking up mine got delayed until tomorrow).
No, he did not use the Love Attrage's model but instead changed the stock LED's with Blue 3528's.
Me .. I haven't changed them yet..although I have now the white 5050's
I have to practice yet my soldering and desoldering skills ..
UPDATE:
Have just replaced the LED's for the Speedometer part .. This is now how my Instrument panel looks like ..

Awesome man! I was thinking of how to go about it: with the LEDs, or with those note tabs that Love Attrage did.
How difficult were they to change? I changed them in my old car, but those bulbs just plugged in like, say, a headlight bulb would. Never changed LEDs on a circuit board before. Certainly not something I want to f up, haha. The 5050s are okay rather than 3528s? And do you know how many are needed for all the gauges?
Still haven't gotten the chance to look at my own lights in the fan dial etc below the radio, though. Hoping I can change the colour of them easily, too.

It's a lot easier if you do the Love Attrage Model. I've destroyed a few chips during the soldering process. I was only successful in putting 2 chips at the speedometer portion and stopped there.
Interesting. So you had to order new chips? Fing up is expensive, I know from experience :P
You could probably go to a wreckers and see if they've got a wrecked mirage and fool around with it that way....
