Poll: How long do you expect to keep your Mirage?

I plan to drive it until it's excessively rusty or unreliable. With Mitsubishi, that could mean 20 years or more.

I plan on owning it for a very long time, its my first BRAND NEW car that I bought for myself. its small, nimble, good mileage, a manual, and doing repairs or replacing parts are easy due to the fact that there isn't too much in the vehicle. It also has a great fun to drive factor for me and I enjoy shocking people at auto x's.

5ish years because I will hopefully be moving away once I complete my degree. I'd keep it forever otherwise.

Gosh, almost everyone here is planning to drive their Mirages to the ground.

If it's any indication, my family has a 11 year old Honda Jazz (Fit in the US) and a 23 year old Daihatsu Charade.

That probably means that my grandkids will be taking their driving lessons in the Mirage.

As long as possible. I think a car is too expensive to throw away easily. So, I hope for a very long Mirage/Space Star ownership. I would say 15 years hopefully?

It's my first new car ever, so I will keep it until somebody totals it...which normally happens once I get a car just exactly the way I want it.

But I have twin nieces that are five years old now. So in ten or so years, if nobody has totaled it yet, they may inherit it.

I could not imagine myself driving the same car for 15 years. I love cars too much to do that. I guess that is because I bought this car because I actually liked it. I just love cheap small cars and in a few years I will want the next cheap small car that interests me.
