    Sitting at the dealership now.

Took a ride with a tech, says it does seem tougher than normal to get into 2nd, they are looking into it.

Side note, tech says shifter mechanism and cables are nearly "indestructable"...

Tech ended up taking the slop and play out of the clutch pedal, shifting smoother now.

I am curious how many miles you have in what conditions. At 1,500 I complained about 2 and 3; 4 and 5 were fine. Just took longer to break in. If you don't drive in slow traffic 2 isn't used much, so could be that?

Also my son insisted on getting aftermarket knob. I got him a heavy solid Aluminum one. To my surprise it did improve shifting. Something to do with inertia of a solid piece of metal. Either that or plasibo effect.

Around 1,900 miles. The tech did suggest it may take longer to break in as well.

I mainly just wanted to be sure nothing was wrong, the tech said no need to be gentle with this shifter set up, it's apperantly pretty heavy duty

IDK... The "gates" of mine are just rough. Hard to get em in... If you know what I mean...

I guess I was just so used to Integra/Civic 5spd - smooth as butter.

I found the fix for shifting issues!!!

Pardon the stupid question, but cable ends on what end? Transmission or shifter?
