3A92 1.2L Mirage exhaust header by SuperCircuit

I was digging for fun stuff and ended up finding a header for the 1.2L 3A92. The blog post is from June 18, 2015, so its a fairly recent development. No idea of the build quality nor do I have any reviews on it, but it does look pretty nice. The dyno chart they provide a picture of is a little odd. It has 3 separate pulls on it so you don't know really what is what. I never saw a picture of the stock exhaust manifold, but it does look pretty horrible haha.

SuperCircuit is a company in Malaysia. I'm going to email them about a price shipped to the US so we have some idea. SpeedLab quoted someone here I think $250 (currently $180 USD) shipped to Australia.

Here is the email reply from SuperCircuit:

The SUPERCIRCUIT 3-1 Headers made for Mitsubishi Mirage 1.2L is USD237.00 each.

It will be an extra USD70.00 each for the delivery via Post Office's EMS. The normal leadtime will be around 15-20 working days to arrive your doorstep.

I wonder if it triggers Oxygen sensor2 code after eliminating converter.

It should. The double spark plug anti fowler trick should work

I am curious if it is already built in in lower port.

EDIT: looking at pictures the joint between OEM exhaust manifold and converter is flex joint and it is missing with header. How is it going to affect durability?

I just wonder why I have only one O2 sensor and not two? Is it only for the Asian models or the Philippine variant only.

What are the pros and cons of having just one O2 sensor?

This is my exhaust manifold & primary CAT

Had the assembly replaced with Stivo headers (similar to Speedlab's) last year.

    Note:
There is no flex joint or pipe in the OEM Exhaust system. It is supported by 3 rubber hangers only.

The sensor after the cat is there to test the performance of the cat itself. It's part of US OBD2 (on board diagnostics) emissions requirements. Not sure about the rest of the planet.

The old trick for the down stream/ second o2/ after cat o2 is to use two spark plug anti fowlers, one with the tip drilled out as big as possible so the o2 sensor can poke through, then screw it into the second one and screw it all together, the small hole from the first anti fowler prevents a large amount of the exhaust from passing over it so it makes the ecu think there is a functioning cat in place. I think the o2 sensors in our mirage are larger threads than the traditional spark plug threads common to o2 sensors of the past

How hard is it to swap to the header? Doesn't look too bad, I might get one, I bet it increases hp and mpg a tiny bit. Possibly 3-5whp and 1-2 mpg. But when figured over 100k miles 1 mpg could pay off $100 at $2 gallon 2 mpg =$200. Header would almost pay for itself in mpg if it actually makes a difference.

I think your math is a little bit off. Going from 45 to 46 MPG would save you 48 gal of fuel.

With respect to Spark foulers no need to drill they sell right size on Amazon and eBay if you ever need one.

I under estimated the fuel savings usually but my math could be wrong

    48 gallons $2 gallon =$96 which I rounded to $100.

The issues with the anti foulers was the tip of the o2 sensor is to long sometimes, drilling out the tip of one anti fouler and screwing it into a non drilled anti fouler would give the clearance the sensor needed
